Service Projects
Adopt-a-highway
Twice a year the scouts of Troop 1390 participates in the Adopt-a-highway program to help keep our community beautiful.
Scouting for Food
Every year, Troop 1390 joins the Tidewater Council's Scouting for Food drive to remind our local communities scouts are here doing Good Turns. Our scouts go to our local neighborhoods asking for non-perishable food donations for the food bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
Wreaths Across America
During the holiday season, Troop 1390 joins in the Wreaths Across America organization by laying wreaths on the gravesite of Veterans at military cemetaries.
Scout Activities
Monthly Campouts
Troop 1390 makes camping a priority! Every month the scouts get together to camp at various campsites in the area. Their campouts are a way for the scouts to bond, build skills and work on merit badge requirements.
Hiking
A couple times per year Troop 1390 will organize a hike in the local area. The scouts of 1390 work together to plan out their hiking location to get outdoors and to make sure they are always prepared
Extracurricular Activities
Scouts also like to have fun outside of normal scouting activities. The scouts of Troop 1390 attend sporting events, participate in 5k runs and many other fun activities just to have a good time as a troop.
